Following from the links of Dave Grohl’s speech at SXSW, these are my testimonies of my music upbringing, All of these posts were originated from my Twitter page
My music beginning started from browsing my mum’s record collection, @petshopboys “discography” LP opened my ears to music~
1997 was a important year for my music development. “Calling All Stations” by Genesis with @RayWilson_20 and “Pop” by U2
It was here that my older bro Robert noticed my interest in the keyboard/piano, so I was brought my first keyboard, Casio WK1200
2002 I was introduced to @depechemode and upgraded my keyboard, now the Yamaha PSR 350~
Most important year was 2005, keyboard upgraded now to Roland Fantom XA and following my bro @scottecooper started created my own music~
All my music throughout the course of 8 years were all recorded from my bedroom~
2007 introduced to @recoilofficial and recorded music on sequencing software Cubase SX3, new keyboard acquired Korg MicroKorg~
2012 I brought my first electric guitar and to this day taught myself the basics and eager to better myself~
I don’t really consider myself a singer/songwriter but a keyboard player, creating sounds or whatever moves me or gives me chills~
Being a independent music act means you don’t limit what you can do~
Never limit yourself to what you can play in music. Push yourself to create something special~
This is a inspiring article for independent music acts such as myself and my brother Scott E Cooper.

Dear God, please, watch over Japan. People woke up in Japan today, thinking ”Today was just gonna be another regular day”. A lot of innocent lives were lost, a lot of people are never going to get to see some people again. It could’ve happened to us.. so, pray for Japan.
As a follower of Japanese culture, I’m giving a pray for those who got caught in the devastation of the Tohoku Earthquake this day 2 years ago. The live coverage, both from news crews and everyday people, is still an astonishing and real account of the disaster.
I’d appreciate it if you would join me and reblog and share this.
You can hear my song “feeling the love” as well as other local artists songs in AbingdonXtra the local. I will be doing an interview some point soon with Sam from the show about Key 17 Records, my recording studio and of course my music.
